SRK Undergoes Shoulder Surgery
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who flew in from London today, underwent a successful shoulder surgery at the Breach Candy hospital and is “doing fine”, hospital sources said.The 43-year old “Badshah” had injured his shoulders on the sets of `Dulha Mil Gaya’ in November last year, but, continued shooting for Karan Johar’s `My name is Khan’ in Los Angeles in the US during which he experienced severe pain.
This is the actor’s second surgery. He had undergone a surgery in London in 2003 for a back problem.Khan was admitted in the hospital today around shortly after rushing back from London where he had gone to promote his latest film `Billu’. Doctors advised him to immediately undergo surgery.
"He is out of anaesthesia and is a bit groggy, but otherwise the situation is under control," Sanjay Desai, who led a team of doctors operating on Khan, told reporters after a 90-minute surgery.Desai said the 43-year-old actor would be out of action for "four to six weeks" but full recovery would take up to six months.
